Installation
This installation information is provided to give you an idea of what is involved in installing the STEMS unit. Energy Management Solutions and STEMS Energy Management require that you have a licensed electrician install your STEMS unit, both for your safety, and the warrantee of the product.

The STEMS unit will require it's own 240v double-pole breaker. If your panel is full, you may replace some of the existing 240v double-pole breakers with sandwich units to make room for the STEMS unit to have it's own 240v double-pole breaker. If your panel cannot support any additional sandwich breakers, your electrician can tell you how best to install the STEMS unit in your breaker panel.

If there is room, the STEMS unit can rest in the unused space at the bottom of the breaker panel.

We then hook the white wire, which is the ground wire, to the ground bar.

Shown here are the black wires, which are wired into the 240v breaker.

Switch the breaker to the ON position and you will see a green light on the STEMS unit, which indicates you are now saving energy.

If you have more than one panel, you will want to install a properly sized STEMS unit on each panel as recommended in order to get the maximum energy savings.

Now that you can see how easy the STEMS Energy Management System is to install, you can start saving money today on your electric bill.
